Permission to Ride

Required

Dear Parent or Guardian of a Student Athlete:

Per board policy, in order to transport athletes from a school competition in a private vehicle, the designated adult must have a valid Oregon Driver’s License and provide proof of automobile liability that meets or exceeds the current requirements, and copies of these on file at the Athletics Office.

They must also have to have a criminal history check with the district and have filled out the Proof of Auto Liability Insurance (EEAE) Form. All this must be completed and on file at the Athletics Office before carrying other students (excluding one's own child).

For an athlete to ride home with an adult other than their own parent or guardian, they must also have the approval of their coach. (Some coaches want all team members to ride to and from games together on the bus.)

Current minimum limits are:

$25,000 per person and $50,000 per accident for bodily injury,
$10,000 per accident for property damage,
$25,000 per person and $50,000 per accident for uninsured motorist coverage, and
$10,000 per accident for personal injury protection.

Required
